I have been asked to work with my counties to ensure we are all hitting certain standards with regards to safeguarding. I think generally we all agree this is an important area and the aim is to get all of the Red and Amber ratings for the below criteria to Green. We are in a good position already, however, there are a few criteria below that we need to complete. Please can we work towards completing this, and if there is anything you want me to follow up on with regards to this please let me know.

Safeguarding criteria:
1. Welfare Officer Name (County has a named welfare officer). Green - Sheila Collins
2. Welfare officer is named on the county website - if there is a separate senior and junior websites, the names must be on both. Green - Yes
3. The safegauarding name on the website must match the name on our membership system. Green - Yes
4. There must be clear means of contacting welfare officer (e.f. email or contact form) on the website. Red - No (no contact details for Sheila Collins on Middlesex website)
5. Safeguarding and Protecting Children training up to date (please state expiry date and name of course). Green - Yes
6. DBS up to date (please state expiry date). Green - Yes
7. Safeguarding information must be easy to find on the website with links to Badminton England policies. Red - No (no contact details for Sheila Collins on Middlesex website, could not find link to Badminton England policies).
8. Formal adoption of Badminton England safeguarding policy minuted. Red - No
